Wit a more powerful engine and swept wings I was thinking of something between the MiG-9/Yak-23 and Mig-15 in performance

BTW changed the name to Harpía to avoid confusion, do you have a pic of the Chilean Caracara?

Edit: Found the Caracara the licence built Pe-3bis

It is a MiG-9M that has been redesiged to be single engined with MiG-15 wing so it uses the same landing gear as the MiG-9. As for the name i just used a Bird of prey native to Peru (missed that Chile has a fighter with the same name)

In the late 40´s early 50´s the the Peruvian air force looked with dread at the rapid acquistion of jet fighters by Chile which led to a crash program by CAA resulting in the CAA Harpía

If you add a dorsal turret on the trainer variant you can use it for gunnery training as well
