Navy news:
The Fourth Scouting Division leaves it's Homeport Tai-Pei. The ships will travel across the pacific to Peru & Chile
to make a port visit and to deepen the relations between this countries and China. The ships will arrive Valparaiso
on 7th of February 1940, and there they will celebrate together with representatives of the chilean government the
chinese new year.
The chinese squadron is under the command of Admiral Huang Yan-Po and consists of the HICMS Tsing Tao, the
HICMS Palk Bay and the two ships of the Huangshi-class (Huangshi 400 & Huangshi 401). As a supply ship the
fleet tanker HICMS Yuci accompanied the chinese squadron.

Sure, because San Hainando is far away from China, so only carrier will hit the island großes Grinsen . No chance for landbased aircrafts ....

San Hainando is much MUCH further from Iberia than it is from China and I'm sure landbased aircraft can hit it. I'd think the Chinese would use the carriers to attack bases much further from China. ....

And by the way, why everybody is thinking, that China is an agressor ??? unglücklich The carrier could also be used to patrol against piracy.
